William R. May D.D.S.

Dr. William May received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Tennessee State University.  Later he graduated from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree.

Dr. William May places his current focus on restorative and implant dentistry.  His education is ongoing; he regularly attends continuing education courses to stay abreast on the latest procedures.  Because of these numerous hours of additional training he was awarded his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004.  Dr. Bill (as most of his patients call him) combines a passion for dentistry with a sincere interest in his patients.

Kate May D.M.D.

Dr. Kate May attended the University of Tennessee for her undergraduate studies where she majored in Microbiology.  She was accepted to dental school a full year early where she was the youngest to graduate in her class.  While at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, she participated in research projects that allowed her to travel to Orlando, Las Vegas, and Austrailia to present her findings.  She received the Oral Biology Award at graduation in May of 2008.  Like her father, she fervently believes in keeping her skills and knowledge up to date and has already begun attending continuing education classes.   

Leslie Barkley, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Leslie has been practicing dental hygiene for 16 years.  She has been with May and May Dentistry since 2005. 

Leslie's commitment to dentistry is evident through her work.  She is conscientious, compassionate and has a strong work ethic.  Leslie takes part in continuing education courses that feature the latest technology in the field of dental hygiene to ensure that she is versed in the most up-to-date procedures. 

Leslie loves being a mom to her 3 three children.  She loves to ride horses with her family and is active in her community and church. 

Jennifer Hall, RDA

Registered Dental Assistant

Jennifer began her career in dentistry assisting Dr. William R. May in 2003. She recently began assisting Dr. Kate May in 2008. She is certified in Radiography, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Sealant Application, and Coronal Polishing. Patients have told her she has a very calming effect, and she strives to make each visit pleasant.

Jennifer is a native of Bradley County. She and her husband Keith have one daughter, Paige. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. Jennifer and her family attend Philippi Baptist Church where they are active members.

Jennifer has on dog, Molly, and two cats, Sammy and Sprinkles.

Pam Hindman, RDA-EF

Registered Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions

Pam begn her dental career assisting Dr. May in 1996. She has achieved a high level of expertise in the field during the past twelve years and is certified in Coronal Polishing, Dental Radiology, Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Restorative Expanded Functions, and Sealant Application. She also completed her Dental Implant Assisting through ICOI. Pam truly enjoys the restorative aspect of dentistry and is a member of the ADAA and ADIA. She is always furthering her dental knowledge by attending various CE courses.

Pam and her husband Roy have 2 children, Adam and Logan. She enjoys spending time with her family and being involved in her children's sport activities. She and her family attend Clingan Ridge Baptist Church.

Sandra Mantooth

Front Office

Sandra has been with Dr. May's staff since 2004, bringing with her 26 years of office experience. She serves as a liaison for the staff and will take care of any of your billing needs. Sandra is also reponsible for financial arrangements, accounts receivable, and insurance. She diligently seeks to provide the best financial options and information for our patients and their needs.

Sandra is married and has one daughter, Michelle, and a grandson, David. She and her husband, Kenneth, are active members of First Baptist Church. She enjoys attending concerts and plays and accompanying her husband on business trips.

Betty May

Front Office

Betty has been working with Dr. May (her son) since 2004. She strives to put each patient at ease as she greets them upon arrival. She works to file charts and contact patients concerning their appointment times and any questions they might have regarding their appointment.

Originally from Rockwood, TN, Betty has been a resident of Cleveland for over ten years now. She is active at First Baptist Church and enjoys doing different activities with her Sunday school class. She is extremely proud of her five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Christy Payne, RDA

Registered Dental Assistant

Christy began her dental career assisting Dr. May in 1998. She is certified in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring, Coronal Polishing, Dental Radiology, and Sealant Application. She also completed her Dental Implant Assisting through ICOI and is a member of the ADAA and ADIA. She truly enjoys learning about the new advances in dental technology and techniques by attending various CE courses.

Christy and her husband Chuck have 2 children, Tanner and Kaylee. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially outdoors. She and her family attend Candies Creek Baptist Church.

Anzhelika Tsypan, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Anzhelika has been working with Dr. May since August 2007. She has been described as being attentive to detail. Her goal is to make sure that each patient leaves having received quality care. Anzhelika is originally fom the country of Ukraine and can speak Ukrainian and Russian fluently, which is of great benefit to the patients of the practice.

In her spare time, Anzhelika likes to play piano, sing, and play casual soccer.
